My name is Tarini Maram and I am going to be a sophomore at Homestead High School for the 2020-2021 school year. I started swimming and playing the violin from a young age, and they still continue to be my hobbies today! In my free time, I am usually listening to music and I am always looking for new song or artist recommendations :) I am very interested in space exploration and I would love to work at NASA someday.
I have always felt most at home when I am with other people and involved in a community. It is amazing what people can accomplish when we work together as a group. I first learned about SRI through an email that my school sent out and it interested me because it was a student-run organization. Especially during this pandemic, I felt like there was nothing I could do to help since I am still young. It was inspiring how students could make an impact and give back to the community, so I was eager to be a part of it. In SRI, I am a unit member in the AidUs project, which is aimed towards helping low-income and underprivileged students during the pandemic.
SRI is working on several projects to help students, medical workers, seniors, and the general public during this crisis. If you can spare any amount of money, please consider donating by clicking the button below so that we can continue to help our community as much as possible.
